Since 1965\, PenArt has\nprovided space for that search\, beginning with founder Madeline Tourtelot and growing\ninto a vibrant community of artists across generations. \nThe Searching Eye features artists connected to PenArt as instructors\, residents\,\nstudents\, and more. Through their practices\, they reflect Tourtelot’s vision: one rooted in\nexperimentation\, personal expression\, and enduring curiosity. The exhibition’s title is\ninspired by Tourtelot’s 1960 film Searching Eye\, which will be screened as part of the\nexhibition.
