Open Year Round

Door Community Auditorium (DCA) is Door County’s year-round, indoor venue for the performing arts, big-name entertainment, cultural opportunities, exhibits, movies, community events, and lectures. DCA events are presented by a diverse mix of professionals, community groups, regional talent, and student artists. In recent years, our state-of-the-art concert hall has been graced by the likes of Lyle Lovett, Keb’ Mo’, The Lumineers, Melissa Etheridge, Ira Glass, Ziggy Marley, Charlie Daniels, Joan Baez, Mavis Staples and Jeff Tweedy just to name a few.

DCA is recognized as a 501 (c) 3 organization and is supported by Door County visitors and residents alike through ticket sales, sponsorship, membership and volunteer labor. Annually, over 220 performances, events, rehearsals and school assemblies take place within DCA’s walls.

DCA is also home to the Peninsula Music Festival (PMF). Each August, PMF brings professional musicians from all over the country to perform a season of nine symphonic concerts. The musicians, hailing from some of the country’s top orchestras are conducted by Maestro Victor Yamplosky. At the close of PMF’s season, Northern Sky Theater (formerly American Folklore Theatre) takes up residence at DCA for their fall season, presenting 35-50 showings of an original, family-friendly musical – usually with Wisconsin roots.

Year-round, DCA proudly presents students artwork in The Link Gallery of Children’s Art, Door County’s first and only exhibit space dedicated to the showing of artwork that portrays the world through the eyes of children. Annually, the gallery features 5 -6 professionally presented exhibits by students. Children of various age and grade levels from all Door County schools – as well as those who are home-schooled – are invited to participate. A wide variety of themes and artistic mediums are explored, ranging from the natural environment, cultural traditions, historical events, to values such as trust, kindness, and generosity.
